Bio: Educated in Warsaw, Poland; at the University of Alberta since
1983; plenary speaker on many international specialized and general
conferences; from the last year: plenary invited lecture at the regional
AMS Meeting in Lawrenceville, NJ; Wabash Conference in Modern Analysis;
on the organizing committee of the Spring semester in Convex Geometry
and Functional Analysis in MSRI and the organizer of the main workshop
during this program. Elected to the Royal Society of Canada in 1996;
received Canada Council Killam Research Fellowship for 1997-99.
