First Vancouver Meeting on Probability

The format of this summer school will be similar to the Durham symposia. The
school will be centred around six short courses, each of four lectures. The six
main speakers are:

- T. Kurtz (Wisconsin)
- J-F. Le Gall (Paris VI)
- C. M. Newman (N.Y.U.)
- D. W. Stroock (M.I.T.)
The remainder of the time will be occupied by informal discussions and talks
by participants.
(Note: There will be a year of activity in probability at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI,
Berkeley, California) in the academic year 1997-1998.)
