A bigger, cleaner, faster version of DIVA
DIVA is an Adams integrator written by Krogh for use at NASA's Jet
Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. When written, DIVA was more efficient
than other integrators on the applications at JPL and this remains the
case 30 years later. But all good things come to pass and it now necessary
to re-write and extend DIVA.
I will give a brief history of DIVA, discuss the reasons why it must
be re-written and extended, and highlight the distinctive features the
integrator will have. Little knowledge of linear multistep methods will
be required to understand the seminar.
