http://www.uottawa.ca/map/index.html There are THREE lecture halls for this workshop, two located near the New Residence, and one at the far south end of campus. The mini-courses (Wednesday through Friday) will be held in MRT 205: 2nd floor of Morisset Building. To access it, do NOT enter the library (which occupies most of Morisset). It is located directly off of the main hall on the second floor, near the walkway to the Jock Turcot Centre. The talks on Saturday will be held in MNT 202 (DeCelle Auditorium): 2nd floor of Montpetit Hall, in the main hall, close to the walkway to the Jock Turcot Centre. The talks on Sunday will be held in SCS E217, in the Sports Complex at the southern end of campus (a 5-minute walk from the New Residence). Enter the building from the north and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. The classrooms overlook the soccer pitch. Note that there will be a major power shutdown at the University of Ottawa on Sunday, May 9, from 11:00 -- 3:00, and until 7:00 in some areas. The Sports Complex, we are told, will not be affected; on the other hand the residences will be. Partipants may access their email and the internet in room MNT 142, on the first floor of Montpetit Hall. The computer lab is open from 8:45am to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 1pm to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. (It is not yet clear if computer access will be available on Sunday after the shutdown, sorry.) Secure ssh is available. Conference identification (schedule or name tag) must be presented upon arrival at the lab. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is in 585 King Edward Ave, opposite Fauteux Hall. There are many dining possibilities on or near campus: the cafeteria or Jazzy restaurant in Jock Turcot Centre; the graduate student pub across from the Thomson residence; the ZoomPub in the Sports Complex; and several small restaurants, eateries and pubs on Laurier, Osgoode, Somerset and Mann Streets, just off campus. |
