Il a fourni la solution de plusieurs problèmes longtemps irrésolus. Récipiendaire de plusieurs distinctions, il a fait partie d’un grand nombre de conseils nationaux ainsi que de comités éditoriaux. Granville est l’un des premiers mathématiciens du Canada et, dans le monde, également, l’un des premiers au sein du petit cercle des théoriciens en analyse des nombres. |

MING LI- School of Computer Science, University
of Waterloo Ming Li is a leading expert on Kolmogorov complexity. His work has led to a new method for proving lower bounds and analyzing average-case complexity of algorithms and to the solution of a number of long standing major open questions in computer science. He is an influential international leader in the development of bioinformatics algorithms and software who, along with his coauthors, has produced theorems, algorithms, and proofs that are included in major computational biology books and software packages used widely. |
