Come and live in Canada's capital right next to 2 Canadian Prime Ministers, next to the famous Laurier House at the corner of Laurier Avenue East and Chapel Street. We have shared accommodation with bunk-beds and as well personal rooms for couples - these come mostly with bath-rooms and kitchenettes. Check-in time for visitors is between 12 noon to 6 p.m.
From the airport: 1.1. By Public Transit ( the cheapest and fastest way )
Use City bus Route 97 (it is the only one at the airport!) Bus # 97 departs from post 14 outside the level 1 Arrivals area . You can leave the bus either at the bus stop Campus or Laurier on the edge of the campus.
Cash Fares (exact change only) : $2.60
Bus tickets are available at the Ground Transportation Desk located on Level 1 at the centre door of the Arrivals area.
0.90 cents/ticket (2 tickets are required to go downtown and therefore you can go downtown for only $1.80!!)
$6.50 Day Pass if purchased on the bus.
$6.00 Day Pass if purchased at the Ground Transportation Desk.
Route 97 uses low-floor, fully accessible buses that accommodate wheelchairs.

From the bus station: The Bus Terminal is located at 265 Catherine Street between Lyon and Kent St.

3.2. To travel by local bus, check the OCTranspo web site for route information (there is no direct route to the University Campus but bus #4 brings you to the Rideau Centre which is close by). The buses run every 15 minutes during the daytime. The fare is $2.60 and you will need exact change.
Travelling by car: If travelling by car, you'll be on highway 417 (the Queensway). Take exit Nicholas Street exit. The edge of campus is at Nicholas and the Queensway. The University of Ottawa and the hotel locations are indicated on the maps section of this web site.
Parking Check with your hotel or other accommodation choice regarding parking. If hotel parking is not available, there are several municipal parking lots available near campus.
For those staying at the University of Ottawa dormitories, parking is offered at an additional charge. Day occassinal parking is available on campus in covered garages, parking meters, and pay and display lots. For more complete information about the location and cost of these options, visit the website of the University of Ottawa's Parking and traffic division.
