OVERVIEW
The conference aims to:
(1) celebrate the International Year of Statistics,
(2) broadcast the establishment of the first International Chinese
Statistical Association (ICSA) chapter: ICSA-Canada Chapter, and
attract membership to this chapter,
(3) bring together leading researchers and junior people to interact
scientifically, and
(4) provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the research
of Canadian statisticians.
The conference is open to everyone regardless of his/her background
but interested in statistical research and application. The scientific
objective of the conference is on emerging issues, methods and
applications in statistics, biostatistics, and industrial statistics.
Diverse themes will be covered, and they include methods for the
analysis of complex data, survival data analysis, high dimensional
and genetic data analysis, longitudinal and functional data analysis,
design and analysis of studies with response-dependent and multi-phase
designs, and statistical inference based on likelihood, empirical
likelihood and estimating functions.
