Workshop on Applications of Pattern Formation
March 23-28, 1993

Organizers: J. Chadam (Waterloo), B. Wetton (UBC)

This workshop will bring together scientists and mathematicians studying pattern formation in a wide variety of specific applications modeled by partial differential equations. Significant progress has been achieved through interdisciplinary approaches of this type in the past decade. The emphasis in the workshop will be on realistic physical applications and on applying new mathematical theory in order to understand the underlying mechanisms.
