5th Conference on Financial Econometrics and Risk Management
Description
The goal of the conference is to develop new robust, real time financial models that accurately reflect the complexity of today’s financial markets and to discuss the design of the complex products existing in today’s financial markets. In order to prevent similar economic disasters as the financial crisis of 2007-2009 in the future, we must continue to work on providing financial intuitions with the ability to rapidly and accurately measure the risks associated with such products.
Historically, the financial industry has relied on models that fail to accurately reflect the complexity of the marketplace, and thus neither have the capacity to accurately predict the risks associated with the use of these products nor the ensuing economic crises that can occur from their use. The 5th Conference on Financial Econometrics and Risk Management will continue to explore the issues raised above in detail bringing together leading academic researchers and industry experts on financial econometrics and risk management.
