Isabelle Gallagher completed her Ph.D. under Jean-Yves Chemin at Université Paris 6 in 1996. She has been professor at Université Paris-Diderot since 2004, where she chaired the Mathematics Department from 2013 to 2018 and is now on leave at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris. She is now Director of the Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris. Prior to coming to Université Paris-Diderot, she was Junior CNRS researcher at Université d'Orsay and the Ecole polytechnique. She studies Analysis and PDEs. She was invited speaker in ECM in 2012, ICM in 2014 and ICIAM in 2018. She received in 2008 the Paul Doistau-Emile Blutet and in 2018 the Sophie Germain Prizes of the French Academy of Sciences, and was recepient of the CNRS Silver Medal in 2016.
