2022-2023 Distinguished and Coxeter Lecture Series
July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
Description
The Distinguished and Coxeter Lecture Series bring a leading international mathematician in the field of the thematic program of the Institute to give a series of three lectures. The first of the lectures is intended for a general mathematical audience and the remaining lectures are intended to highlight some recent important developments in the field of the program. The speaker is selected by the Institute's Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP).
The Fields Institute Scientific Advisory Panel will designate a recipient on the basis of outstanding contributions to the advancement of the mathematical sciences, with excellence in research and strong presentation skills as the main selection criteria. The special lectures are usually associated with a thematic program. Nominations should include supporting documentation and contact information on the candidate, and should be sent to the director.
For more detail on both these programs, see the thematic program proposals web page.
