I will explain my new construction of amenable actions on stably finite simple C*-algebras. The desired actions arise as Pimsner algebras of a Hilbert G-C*-algebra bimodule associated to a family of equivariant *-endomorphisms, and their crossed products by certain quasi-free flows. The classification theorem of KMS weights, which we will establish, therefore plays a fundamental role to confirm stable finiteness of the resulting C*-algebras.
