Abstract:
There has been a variety of network models developed to help understanding the complexity of the financial system, identifying risks and supporting decisions about regulation of the market. Yet, they are still not in the mainstream of policy making, definitely not in the mainstream of the economic research and there might be identifiable reasons for that. I will share my personal views on the types of models relevant for policy making with some illustrations of the specific avenues that may be worth following.
