Abstract:
(Joint with J.Pila and N.Mok) In ongoing work, we prove a general analogue of the Ax-Schanuel theorem in the context of Shimura Varieties. When combined with results from the theory of heights, this theorem has applications to unlikely intersections in the style of the Zilber-Pink conjecture. We discuss one such application to multiplicative relations between singular moduli.
