Abstract:
What is the distance between two time symmetric, asymptotically flat spacetime slices satisfying the dominant energy condition? In the case where the spacetime slices have small mass it has been conjectured by Lee and Sormani that the distance should be small in the Intrinsic Flat sense. In this talk we will review progress on this conjecture and present practical tools which allow one to address the initial question in the case of Intrinsic Flat distance.
