With the classification problem for simple separable nuclear Z-stable C*-algebras nearly settled, one would like to know how robust is this class of C*-algebras under crossed products by amenable groups. There are some partial positive results for various discrete group actions. I will briefly survey those, and then describe the construction of a counterexample for actions of the circle group.
