Bio:

Amy Scales is a graduate of the University of Waterloo/Queen's Mathematics Teaching Option (in 2000!). As a high school student she was fascinated by mathematics because of its ability to explain everything, and saddened that math did not seem to be for everyone. She graduated certain that algebra was the only tool to solve problems. These days she spends her time trying to fascinate and include all her students while she collects and shares new teaching tools. She is grateful that she has colleagues locally and on Twitter who help her in this endeavour.
