In pursuit of an an answer to the question "In how far can Floer theory techniques and concepts like the Fukaya category be extended to Poisson structures with degeneracies?", I will discuss the example of S^2 equipped with a log symplectic structure. I will explicitly construct its Fukaya category and discuss possible sets of (split) generators.
