I will present various analogues of the well-known Schanuel conjecture, for periods of abelian varieties, semi-abelian varieties and $1$-motives. I put the emphasis on the computation of the structure of the Zariski closure over the field of algebraic numbers, of the period matrix. The case of semi-elliptic surfaces is made explicit.
