Abstract:
We introduce gluing constructions for Lorentzian pre-length spaces in the spirit of gluing/amalgamation of metric spaces. As motivation, we briefly mention topological gluing and metric gluing. We continue with showcasing some results, such as an analogue to the Reshetnyak gluing theorem and the inheritance of various causality conditions. We conclude with an outlook on further applications of these techniques, including a globalization result for upper timelike curvature bounds, very similar to Alexandrov's patchwork approach.
