Abstract:
In several lectures, we present a Lagrangian and geometric framework of the incompressible Euler equation with fixed and free surfaces.
The main focus will be how this point of view would help one to obtain the local well-posedness, nonlinear instability, etc. If time permits, we will also discuss some problems related to linear instability.
