Abstract:
Associated to any metric vector bundle there is a Poisson algebra known as the Keller-Waldmann algebra. Courant brackets may then be thought of as elements in this Poisson algebra satisfying a master equation. In this way they provide a differential on the Poisson algebra and yield a Cohomology for Courant algebroids in the flavour of Poisson cohomology. I will explain how to use this Poisson algebra to describe infinitesimal deformations of generalized complex structures. As an application I will explain how to produce a pair of deformations associated to any generalized Kahler structure
