Abstract:
The phenomenon of multistability is a very important and interesting phenomenon in ecological systems. Besides the predation-prey relationship and competition relationship, intraguild predation is another fundamental ecological relationship. In this talk, I will present several intraguild predation models and show related work on multistability. Bifurcations including saddle-node, transcritical and Hopf bifurcations in IGP models result in very rich dynamics leading to the occurrence of multi-type bi-stability and tri-stability. This suggests that intraguild predation can promote multiple alternative stable states.
