Panel Discussion
Participants are encouraged to ask their questions after each round of panel discussion, rather than saving them for the end, to ensure more active participation and timely answers.
This panel will attempt to draw a “through-line” from K-16 in mathematics teaching practices, and how we approach and understand the issues that are common to students learning mathematics from the age of 4 to 24 years.
Early Years - Donald Campbell (Peel DSB)
Don Campbell is a Peel District School Board primary teacher, and former instructional coach.
Junior - Heidi Allum (Durham DSB)
Heidi Allum is a Durham DSB teacher and consultant.
Intermediate/Senior - Paul Alves (Peel DSB)
Paul is a secondary mathematics teacher, department head, and former resource teacher.
Post-Secondary - Peter Taylor (Queen’s University)
Peter is a professor and Chair of Undergraduate Studies at Queen’s University.
