Bio:

Kelly McKie is a PhD candidate, and part-time professor, at the University of Ottawa in Faculty of Education. Kelly’s SSHRC funded doctoral research focuses on mathematics teacher collaborative professional learning. Her research sets out to gain a clearer understanding of the complexity of teacher learning, how initiatives can support teacher learning and how this learning can be sustained and diffused across the larger mathematics education community. Kelly’s experience as a Research Assistant with the OAME Grade 9 Applied Inquiry Project, under the supervision of Chris Suurtamm, was the focus of her MA thesis and the inspiration for her doctoral research.
