On a smooth manifold M, the direct sum of the tangent bundle, the cotangent bundle, and a trivial rank 1 bundle has the structure of a Courant algebroid. Courant algebroids that are locally of this form are classified by a twist consisting of a closed 2-form and a compatible 3-form. Assuming a prequantization condition holds, I will show how such a pair of forms gives rise to a principal bundle over M and an equivariant gerbe over the principal bundle.
