Abstract:
I will describe some work (very much) in progress on a special class of compact quantum metric spaces in the sense of Rieffel. The structures under investigation are designed for witnessing geometric features of trace spaces and statistical features of tracial dynamics, and examples can be found in and around the category of classifiable C*-algebras.
Bio: Bhishan Jacelon is a Trinidadian-Canadian mathematician. He earned his doctorate from the University of Glasgow in 2011 under the supervision of Simon Wassermann. He is currently based in Prague, and his research focuses on applications of C*-classification.
