SHORT ORALS - BREAKOUT ROOM 1 - Aesthetic Mathematical Experience, STEAM, and Artificial Intelligence
The research examines STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities' development and Artificial Intelligence's role in enhancing aesthetic mathematical experiences (AME). It explores the synergy between arts and digital technology in math education, maker culture's educational value, and AI's potential, specifically focusing on Chat GPT. Conducted over 36 months, this qualitative study involves case studies and conceptual analysis, with data collection spanning 18 months. The international team includes researchers and students from North America and Brazil, intending to create AME projects across educational stages, incorporating diverse subjects like astronomy and music. This work aims to advance knowledge in Mathematics Education and establish AME as a research trend and a teaching strategy.
