My talk, presenting joint work with A. Connes and C. Consani, will elaborate on the formalism that allows to promote the prolate wave operator and the Sonin space, which are both key players in the spectral realization of the zeros of zeta, from the archimedean place to the adelic level of Connes’ semilocal trace formula.
