If a strong exceptional collection on a proper smooth toric DM stack has length equal to the rank of the K-theory of the stack, then the objects of the collection are expected to generate the derived category of the stack. Jointly with Chengxi Wang, we aim to verify this expectation under additional assumptions. We focus specifically on the case of strong exceptional collections of line bundles on smooth toric stacks of Picard rank one and two.
