Dimension drop algebras and the near amalgamation property

Abstract:
In this talk, we give an elementary proof that the class of dimension drop algebras with distinguished traces satisfies the near amalgamation property. This is a part of the proof that this class is a Fraïssé class with the Jiang-Su algebra as its limit.
