A quad-mesh panel-hinge framework is generically rigid. This talk will report current progress on 1) the known types of flexible quad-mesh panel-hinge frameworks 2) the known smooth analogues of these types. The method is direct symbolical calculation. A discussion on the challenges of further exploration concludes the talk.
