Workshop on Developments and Technical Aspects of Free Noncommutative Functions
Description
Originating in J.L. Taylor's pioneering work on noncommutative spectral theory, free noncommutative functions found applications to a vast array of fields of both pure and applied mathematics, including systems and control theory, the theory of automata and formal languages, random matrix theory, free probability, operator algebras, operator spaces, and operator theory. This workshop will focus on the numerous recent developments of the theory of free noncommutative functions, with an eye towards applications to, and interactions with, other fields of mathematics.
