Recently, I attempted to summarize ways in which Ontario Faculties of Education responded to calls for improved pedagogical and content knowledge of future mathematics teachers. In this talk I will give examples of some curriculum changes implemented after we moved to a two-year BEd program. This overview will inspire our conversation around the ways in which to support quality teaching and teacher qualification for teaching mathematics.
